Peter is Professor of Pathology and Director of the Centre for Cancer Research, at the University of Auckland School of Medicine, and a Consultant Haematologist at Auckland City Hospital.

He has a clinical interest in the management of patients with haematological malignancies, including blood cell and bone marrow transplantation. In the laboratory, he has an interest in molecular studies in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with leukaemia, lymphoma and inherited blood disorders.
