SkyCity Auckland’s longstanding partnership of LBC includes hosting and supporting two of our iconic fundraising events.
The annual Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge is an immensely popular event throughout the firefighting community. Over 1,000 firefighters from throughout New Zealand and overseas first fundraising and then take on the challenge of conquering the 51 flights of the Auckland Sky Tower in full firefighting gear and breathing apparatus. Almost $2M was raised in 2024, celebrating the climb’s 20th anniversary.
SkyCity Auckland also hosts the Step Up Sky Tower Challenge – an opportunity for families, friends and businesses – or individuals - to enter a team and take on the Auckland Sky Tower – the only opportunity to have this bucket list experience unless you are a firefighter!
Over the years, SkyCity Auckland has been involved in many other fundraising initiatives and remains a phenomenal LBC partner.
