How we help
We aim to provide support where and when it is needed most.
Our free and personalised services range from just having someone to talk to in our Support Services team, to disease-specific information & resources.

Patient & family support
Patient support
Our dedicated Support Services team are here to help you, your family/whanau and your carers in a number of ways. These include answering questions you may have, listening to concerns, sourcing practical help, financial assistance and information on specific diseases and treatments.
Educational materials
We produce a series of patient information booklets and can provide information on other related blood conditions, to help aid understanding about these diseases.
Financial assistance
The suddenness with which these diseases strike can often put enormous financial strain on people. To those experiencing difficulties we may be able to offer support including food and petrol vouchers. Each case is assessed on an individual basis.
Education and support programmes
We run a number of education and support groups throughout the country which provide a safe environment for people who are going through similar experiences. These programmes are open to existing people undergoing treatment as well as survivors.
Support for carers
If you are the one caring for your partner, relative or friend, you may still be trying to come to terms with the diagnosis of their disease and what it means for your relationship.
Kid’s Zone
We offers a range of services and programmes to support our paediatric patients, their siblings, and the children of patients.
Facebook groups
We currently have 13 Facebook Groups, set up with the aim to help connect people living with these types of haematology conditions and provide access to information.
