Why leaving a gift in your Will is important
When you leave a gift to LBC in your Will, not only will you help us to support Kiwis currently living with a diagnosis, but you’ll also provide funding for research into better treatments and cures in the future.
If you’d like to leave a gift to LBC, then including us in a legal Will is the only way to make sure your wishes are met. It avoids any confusion and provides you with peace of mind.
If you’ve decided to leave a gift to LBC, either in your Will or through a Charitable Trust, then we would love to hear from you. It’s important to us that we understand your wishes and recognise your contribution in a way that you would like, during your lifetime. Any information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

How to leave a gift in your Will
Including a gift to LBC in your Will is a lot more straightforward than you may imagine.
Please share your intentions with your family and speak to your legal advisor before proceeding. We encourage you to make sure that your family and loved ones are taken care of first.
If you already have a Will, the addition of a gift can be easily made with a codicil. Please note that your bequest must be signed by you and have two independent witnesses. There are several different ways that you may choose to leave a gift to LBC. These could be:
A % or all of your estate
A % or all of the residue of your estate (this is what is left over following payment of all debts and expenses and after provision for family and other beneficiaries.
A specified sum of money
A specified item or items such as stocks and shares, a work of art
